Honor Guard at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery
For the first project, MITS-GIVES, Inc. is supporting the founding of the Albert G. Horton Honor Guard as well as providing a new facility to support the Honor Guard. MITS-GIVES, Inc. also intends to educate the public about the cemetery and the sacrifices veterans make serving our nation.
The Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery serves veterans in Hampton Roads. More than 16,000 veterans are interned at AGHJMVC with possibly 600 veterans or their family members buried every year. The cemetery sits on 74 acres and is the resting place for many decorated veterans who have served in wars and conflicts around the world.
