Auction Rules

• By participating in the bidding, each individual agrees to the rules and regulations presented.
• MITS ALZ Walk Team reserves the right to withdraw or add auction items, without notice.
• A valid bid must adhere to the minimum bid guidelines and increment.
• The auction will close at 04:00 p.m EST on 7 Aug 26. Once the auction closes, additional bids will not be accepted.
• The highest qualifying bid within the bid guidelines at the close of the auction will be declared the winning bid.
• Winning bidders will be notified via email once an auction item has been declared “closed”. The bidder will then be instructed on how to pick up their auction item.
• Donations for items purchased must be paid directly to the Alzheimer’s Association through the MITS ALZ Walk Team website prior to pick up of their auction item.
• Winners must pick up their auction items within 48 hrs. Unclaimed items will become the property of the MITS ALZ Walk Team, regardless of if a bidder has paid for an item.
• All sales are final. Exchanges and refunds are not permitted. No item may be redeemed for cash. An item’s safety and security are the winning bidder’s responsibility once claimed.
• The MITS ALZ Walk Team is not responsible for items not claimed. No refunds will be given.
• Each person assumes all related risks and hazards of auction items obtained at the event.
• Each bidder agrees to hold MITS, MITS ALZ Walk Team, and Alzheimer’s Association harmless from any liability arising indirectly from the auction.
• Some items are subject to limitations/restrictions listed in the catalog and/or on the gift certificates. Hotel, theater, airfare, and restaurant items may be subject to “blackout” dates. It is the responsibility of the buyer to make arrangements with the donor as indicated for auction services that must be performed or ordered.
